Starting from its publishing activities, the Forward Group has been developing the brand BANCO through numerous events over the years.
As early as 1996, BANCO launched BANCOrama The Institutional Investors Networking Days, half- and full-day conference events for institutional investors. Under the flagship of “Casual & Professional”, BANCOrama creates a relaxed and stimulating environment, particularly well-suited for discussing challenging topics in the field of finance, to find out about the latest investment trends, as well as attend debates between major industry participants.
Since 2006, BANCO organizes the BANCO Swiss Hedge Funds Awards, the only awards that reward the year’s best performing hedge funds and funds of hedge funds available on the Swiss market. To select the winners, BANCOawards are almost unique in relying on both a quantitative screening and a qualitative assessment by a jury. This gives an unbiased panorama of the best available portfolio alternatives. Results are then published in the following issue of BANCO magazine for readers to discover. Winners in the different competing categories receive their award during a gala dinner that brings together the main players of the Swiss investment industry.
Last but not least, BANCO launched the BANCOrallye in 2008. This vintage cars rally (for cars built between 1950 and 1985) was initially created for financial institutions and their clients, but over the years it has become a unique rendezvous for all car lovers. Last year’s rally took place around Lake Geneva and gathered around 100 participants.
